KAIZEN PLANNING AS THE BASIS

Do you want to apply these principles to online business? Click HERE >>

The journey of continuous improvement (Kaizen) has lead my family down a deliberate path of growth, evolution, and discovery.

My fiancé and I have been able to break our life into 90 day goal driven periods that put us front and center with each other and our family. With a specific 3 day agenda we share discovery and growth together setting up the next 90 days for success.

An IT guy with a heart for all things efficient and organized. Mike has become a LEAN thinker and through the principles of Kaizen his company explores delivering IT services to our customers. He is active in the community and with business development from chairing the board of the local Chamber of Commerce to teaching the principles of LEAN to local business owners and entrepreneurs. Total Solutions has been a local employer for 18 years.

KAIZEN PLANNING AS THE BASIS

“Kaizen” is the philosophy of continuous improvement. Kaizen is used as a tool in lean manufacturing with the goal of eliminating waste by continuously improving standardized processes, equipment, and other procedures for carrying out daily production.

Kaizen is a Japanese principle of time management. It is common for people to view goals as needing huge immediate changes and long uninterrupted chunks of time. Kaizen is the idea that every task can be broken down into a series of small changes and a longer period of time.

KAIZEN PLANNING AS THE BASIS

KAIZEN PLANNING AS THE BASIS

Kaizen translates as ‘improvement’ or ‘continuous change for the better’. The idea is to eliminate overly hard periods of work, spreading the goals over a period of time and making the process of whatever the work is more efficient. It is a philosophy of work that makes Japan the manufacturing giant it is today and is used around the globe by many top competing companies.

So how do we apply this to the kitchen? Applying many efficient tiny goals to achieve the big objective in the most energy-efficient manner possible. Kaizen is all about moving forward in an interval that shows instant, tangible results as a form of motivation. Set a timer for one minute. You can work for a minute, no problem right? After you set to work and the timer goes off, look at what you’ve done in the minute. Could this have been done in a better manner? Is there something that takes precedent?

Take the time to ask yourself questions about what you are doing during your break. As you resume to work you can move the timer up to be a longer length of time.  After every interval, look at what you have accomplished. Its pretty impressive right? as the cycles shift forward, you’ll find yourself doing the tasks in a better and better manner. This incentive will keep you on track and motivate you to finish. It could even motivate you to continue working in other necessary practices.

One more question answered.. about the networking component in Paymara.

Sarah Louise (UK 🇬🇧), [2022-01-09 9:00 AM]
[In reply to Keld Jensen]
Great questions 😁

Coordinator rank is achieved when you open up 1 account with your left link and one account with your right.

The BV volume is from all those joining and funding accounts that fall into your binary tree.

Once you are coordinator rank you have unlocked the binary.

Then you just share the link for the weakest leg to earn binary bonus of 8% on top of the 8% referral.

You also earn

2% coordinator income
1% elite income

This is 8+8+2+1% of those you refer directly investment = 19% paid to you.

This is why paymara pay lucrativly to those who refer and bring the company additional business in..

I have put info in this chat regarding the ranks yes. I will forward them back to below here for you

Magic in you

I am going to let you in on a secret that most online income earning programs do not want you to know.

In fact, their business model revolves around convincing you that this lie is actually the truth.

There is no “magic” program that will make you a success or finally start bringing in easy money.

The secret is that the magic is in the marketer, not the program.

There are no secrets to success.
It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.
A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.

Magic in you

Magic in you

Magic in you

Here is the story from Matthew Graves..

This message is a little long, but important. If you want to accomplish your goals, then you need to know how to keep going when it gets tough. You need to keep moving forward DESPITE the resistance that stands in the way. The personal story of how I have spent the last 8 days is a good example to illustrate this point.

No matter what you try to accomplish in life, there will be obstacles that stand in the way. Some obstacles will be small and easily navigated. Other obstacles will seem impossible to overcome. How you deal with those obstacles can easily make the difference between achieving what you want and failing.

Let me tell you a story that illustrates that, pulled right from my experience in the last 9 days on my road trip.

I needed to do a big road trip to take care of some personal business in Orlando (our second home) and move my son out his apartment in Chicago where he went to school for the last 6 years. It was going to be a big trip and we have been planning it for several months. Driving from Nova Scotia to Orlando, then to Chicago, and then back to Nova Scotia is about 8,000 Km or 5,000 miles.

Often when you are trying to accomplish something that will be difficult, the world seems to conspire to add extra challenges. These extra obstacles change the task and make it even more difficult to accomplish. It happens EVERY TIME, if you are trying to do hard things. Expect the unexpected.

This trip was no exception. Days before leaving, I had problems with my Mercedes Sprinter van, which I am converting into a camper to use for family trips. Taking a car was not an option because I need to van to return my son’s furniture from his apartment. Getting the items fixed before leaving was not an option because the dealer could not schedule the repairs in time. Delaying the trip was not an option because my son would not be home for Christmas. I had to figure outa solution.

1 KEY – The ability to figure out solutions to challenges on the journey to your goals is one of the biggest traits of those who do big things. Most people give up before truly “giving their all” in finding solutions. There is almost always a solution … IF you are creative and dig deep enough.

I talked to several mechanics, and did a lot of internet research, to determine that it was unlikely that the problems I was having with the van would get worse while on the trip. It was still drive-able and doing the trip with the problems was unlikely to make things worse. This was a manageable risk.

2 KEY – This illustrates that there are always risks when taking action to accomplish your goals. Nothing is guaranteed. Things can, and probably will, go wrong and the plan will not happen as you think it will. You have to be willing to take some risks and deal with the consequences should you be wrong.

I prepared for the trip knowing that things would not go as smoothly as I hoped. I made sure that I took the tools, parts and supplies to help deal with what might go wrong.

3 KEY – You need to expect that things will go wrong on the way to your goals and be prepared. Part of that preparation is having a “Plan B” or knowing what you will do if certain things happen. Part of the preparation is being mentally prepared for the challenges. That ensures that you are more likely to be able to “keep your cool” and deal with the inevitable problems.

Of course, things went wrong on my trip quickly. Before I even made it out of Canada, the van started acting up. Warning lights were turned on. Since I had prepared for this possibility, I had brought my tools and a scanner to read the errors in the van’s computer. I won’t go into the gory details, but it was a problem which I had seen before. The van was running fine, but now I had a new challenge. If I turned off the van, it might not restart without a tow truck to the dealer.

Stopping and waiting for the dealer to do repairs was not possible. If I was busy at the dealer for a few days, then no one would be back home for Christmas. If I turned around and cancelled the trip, then my son would not be home for Christmas. Failure was not an option. My family’s Christmas was on the line.

4 KEY – If the goals you are trying to accomplish are important enough, then you need to be confident that you can find a solution. If it hadn’t been important, then I would have never gone in the first place. You need to brainstorm solutions and not give up. Perseverance is critical.

Giving up too easily is the biggest reason most people don’t accomplish their goals. If you really want something, then keep fighting for it.

I made the decision to continue on the trip, but to minimize the risk of getting stuck, I would NEVER turn off the van. I would keep it running 24/7 for the next 8 days. The consequences of turning it off and it not restarting were huge. Of course, I did the research to make sure that I was making an educated decision. Leaving a diesel engine on for extended periods is routine and you can refuel a diesel without turning off the engine, like you need to do for gasoline cars.

5 KEY – It is important to choose your risks. You don’t take reckless risks and you avoid risks where possible when working on accomplishing your goals. If there is a way to do something with less risk, then you take that path. Turning off the engine was like rolling the dice and hoping it would turn out well. I like to take risks I can control, not risks which take away my ability to have some control over the outcome.

I continue on the trip and drove for 3 days to Florida without turning off the van, even when I was sleeping. The van is equipped as a camper, so everything I needed was inside the van. No reason for me to ever be out of sight of the vehicle while it was running. I arrived in Florida as planned on Tuesday. I did what needed to be done there and started to Chicago on Tuesday evening.

As I was about leave Florida heading north, the next challenge happened. I had to stop for 24 hours to deal with unexpected issues online. As I am doing this trip, I am still running my online businesses, so that is another area where something could go wrong. Of course, it did and I had to stop to fix it. I spent 24 hours, unplanned, in Lake City Florida sorting through it. Ultimately, the problem was fixed and I could start driving again, but now I am a day behind schedule.

On the drive to Chicago, my dog gets sick and I end up losing another 6 hours. I don’t arrive in Chicago until almost lunch time on Friday, when I was supposed to be there on Thursday morning. I HAD to be back in Nova Scotia on Monday for important medical appointments for myself and my wife, so this meant that I was going to have to make up some time. More challenges that I have to figure out.

6 KEY – When you successfully get past one obstacle, you need to expect that there will be more on the way. Challenges keep changing, but they never stop.

The other thing I discover when I arrive in Chicago is that other things have been happening that I was unaware of. Omicron is spreading rapidly and cases are surging. This was going to introduce even more challenges into the final days of my trip, even though I did not know it at the time.

In order to re-enter Canada, we both have to test negative for Covid using a molecular test no more than 72 hours before we cross the border. We spend 5 hours searching in Chicago for a testing center than can complete the test and have the results to us within the 3 day limit. Center after center is closed or cannot deliver the results in time due to the surge of people who need testing.

Once again, creativity is required to come up with a solution. Instead of being tested in Chicago, we needed to complete our tests in Portland, Maine on the return trip. They can do the test and get us results back to us in time … if we can be in Maine by noon on Sunday. That is just 24 hours from now and we are in Chicago. Time to hit the road.

7 KEY – There is always a solution to the problems you face. You just have to find it. It may be different that what you are thinking, so keep an open mind. However, as you change path to get around one obstacle, it can create new challenges that have to be solved.

The drive to Maine proves to be a new challenge. I drove until 11 PM on Saturday night and slept just 2 hours in Pennsylvania, hitting the road again at 1 AM. We arrive at the testing center in Maine with less than an hour to spare. Of course, if we test positive, then all bets are off and we cannot reenter Canada for 2 weeks. Luckily all the precautions we have been taking paid off and the tests were negative.

However, there is still a challenge or two left. After all, there was still another eight and a half hours of driving to go. By the time we reach the Canadian border, we are in whiteout conditions with snow and high winds. We have to slow down and take even longer to finish. An eight and a half hour drive ends up taking 13 hours instead. We arrive home today at 4 AM on Monday morning. At that point, I had been driving for 27 hours since waking up at 1 AM on Sunday morning.

I gave the van a big thank you and turned it off for the first time in 8 days. Time to rest for both of us.

8 KEY – This just shows that sometimes when you feel like you are close to the end, that is when the obstacles can get really tough. Many people give up on their goals when the end is just around the corner. You just have to keep doing what has gotten you to that point. Keep taking action and figuring out solutions to get you to the next milestone.

Keep the lessons in mind from this story of my 5,000 mile journey as you move forward on your journey to success. If you choose important goals, don’t give up, and stay creative and flexible, then you can accomplish anything you desire.

MLM Success Rate

Join network company HERE >>

See .PDF presentation here >>

What is the MLM success rate for people who join? Who really succeeds, and what can you do to beat the odds? A recent report painted a pretty dismal picture, but is it accurate, or misleading propaganda from an industry skeptic? We decided to take a closer look at what the numbers really mean, and what you can do to ensure your own success. This video may even give you a new perspective on WHY I believe this is the best industry in the world.

MLM Success Rate

Recently, I was reviewing a paper published by a PhD called “The Abysmal Numbers of MLM.”  This author focused on the success rate in network marketing, and said that 95% of everybody in network marketing quits, 5% break even, and 0.15% reach the top income level. He calls it abysmal.

Be aware that anyone can make a stat tell any story they want provided they hide or conceal or skew the definitions of the data they are evaluating. Oftentimes, shortcuts are taken to further a specific narrative or issue they are trying to push. But, if everyone is on the same page of what the definitions are and where the data is coming from, and the data is reliable and valid, then yes, there is a science to getting accurate data that would otherwise be misconstrued.

Math Does Not Choose Who if You’re Successful – You Do

So, let me get into this document a little bit. One of the statements that is said right at the very top is, “Just do the math. The numbers don’t lie.” Now do me a favor, and consider this concept: How does math, not a person, but math itself, decide if you are going to be a 95% person or a 5% person or a 0.15% person?

It may be that 95% of people quit their network marketing business, but I don’t think it’s a numbers game and math decides who is going to fail and who is going to be successful. What I would suggest to you is that our behavior and our education/training is what determines the outcome we have.

So this PhD said 95% quit, and 0.15% reached the top. If that’s true, it would be mathematically almost impossible for me to have reached the top twice. My network marketing company that I was with for almost 24 years bought my business back from me. Then I joined another one and reached the top income level. So how could I do it twice if it’s a mathematical certainty that only 0.15% reach the top?

It doesn’t make any sense to me. And also, just in the seven years I’ve been with the second company, there are now 57 millionaires on my team. That to me just doesn’t mathematically equate with what that PhD is saying.

My conclusion is that the only value of a statistic is to find out why a number is what it is, and what led to it. What are the sub-components that created the results? Math does not choose which side you are going to land on. You choose that. And it’s knowing the sub-components and being willing to learn how to do each of the sub-components. It’s not enough to just know it. You’ve got to do it.

MLM Success Rate

The Sub-components of Network Marketing

MLM Success Rate

Any person who is in sales, who has had any kind of success (it doesn’t matter whether it’s network marketing or something else), does these steps, which I call the Prospect Pipeline:

  1. Generate leads
  2. Contact a person
  3. Set an appointment to see a presentation
  4. Give the presentation
  5. Follow up until you get a yes or no

That’s it.

That’s the game, and doing these sub-components equals customers and reps.

If somebody wants to make a seven-figure residual income, they have to get good at it. If you want to make $100,000 a year, you’re going to have to get good at it. If you want to make a few hundred dollars, well then, you could probably just keep drawing numbers out of a hat and it would eventually work. But if you’re going to really make a profession out of it then these steps are how you do it.

Elite Teams

What is MLM Success Rate?

I want to share with you how elite teams are built. Being in the Navy spec ops, I learned this well. Here’s the way it works, whether it’s a sports team or spec ops in the military:

First, as the leader,  you know the sub-components, and then you put a team member in there and have them do some base-level number of them. Let’s say it’s push-ups for spec ops, and so the person is going to have to be able to do at least 50 push-ups to even join the team. There’s a bare minimum, but everybody’s got to meet that standard.

So in network marketing it would be:

Generate one lead  Then contact that person. Set the appointment. Do the presentation. If you don’t get a presentation out of it, do this with a second lead.  And I would keep on going until they get one person to see the presentation. And that would be the standard. And then I raise the standard. I say, “Now do four.”

You raise the standard, and by continuing to raise the standard, you create elite people. This is how you build a team.

My entire philosophy across the network marketing spectrum is that there is no such thing as a person who can’t do network marketing successfully. Only someone unwilling to learn and get great at each of these steps is someone who can’t do network marketing.

In summary, what I really was trying to get across to you is:

  • Don’t do what quitters do.
  • Do pay attention to the 99.53% who fail. None of that matters.
  • Identify who is successful in network marketing. Get after them and earn the right for that person to train you.
  • Find and learn the sub-components if they aren’t already known. If somebody is achieving success in network marketing,  they probably know the sub-components.
  • Master the sub-components
  • Do the sub-components until your goal is attained

Network marketing simple explanation

How do you explain network marketing to a brand new person?

Years ago I was interviewed in the Wall Street Journal and a Washington D.C. magazine, and what they wrote about Network Marketing was very confusing.

I remember reading it and I was trying to keep up with it and I thought, “What?”

But it is not complex at all.

There is a very simple explanation of Network Marketing. For somebody who’s been in it and made millions, trust me, it is this simple. It really, really is. The goal should always be that we’re trying to reduce it to simplicity instead of make it more and more complex.

I’ve used a lot of different explanations over the years, but I believe I’ve simplified it down to the basics. Here’s how I’m now explaining it.

Business Categories

I want to start with orienting you on different categories of businesses.
Network marketing simple explanation on categories of businesses
In my last video I talked about all my side hustles, and I really wish somebody had shown me this chart way back then, because it would have been able to put everything into perspective for me.

Back then I just thought of business ownership as one of those stores in a strip mall or a restaurant or something like that. When we’re talking about a product-based company, a business that you might own, I want to show you the big categories. This is the way you look at it and evaluate it all.

First, there is the raw resources category of business, which includes things like sand and concrete and soil or metals, oil, gold, diamonds, trees, animals, water, all of these things have to be pulled from the earth. You could have a resources business. You’re going to be dealing with tractors and bulldozers and backhoes and things like that.

Then they go to the manufacturer and when you’re making glass for cell phones, for example, it comes from either granite or it comes from sand or something like that. Then something’s going to be made out of the raw resources, like bottles and jars. Milk and cream are from animals. Lavender, herbs, veggies, vitamins, things like that. That’s the manufacturing category of business.

Then there is branding, which is legal work, the licensing, the packaging, and the countries.

Then it has to be stored somewhere. And that is where the warehousing is. They pick the product off the shelf, and they charge you for that. Then they pack it. They charge you for that. And then they ship it. They charge you for that, and also for the storage inside that warehouse, the space that you occupy.

Then it goes to be sold. This is customer acquisition. This is where I play the game.

The last category of business is customer service. Not necessarily serving the customer, but returns, complaints, restocking, shipping, and handling multi-country orders.

That’s the big layout. When you’re looking at wanting to own your own business, you can step back and say, “Where do I want to play the game?”

For me, in particular, I chose sales and customer acquisition because of what I said in my last video, Side Hustles That Made Me a Millionaire, I mentioned a professor who made a statement that to make real money, you either have to own it or sell it.

At the time I couldn’t view myself owning a business. I felt as though that was for somebody a lot smarter than me. I just wanted to acquire customers. I didn’t know a thing about acquiring customers, but I still wanted to do that as opposed to being a business owner.

Customer Acquisition

What does Customer Acquisition entail? Well, you acquire customers and you service the customers. It has the highest margins with the most security. The person closest to the customer is the person who makes the most margin.

As an example, consider Walmart. They get the most margins compared to these other categories.

I want the highest margins and I want the most security.

I want you to think about something for a minute. A lot of people put a lot of emphasis on the CEO or the CFO or COO. But every bonus, every dividend that is paid out into a stock, every employee relies utterly on the sales acquisition team.

If you want security, don’t go work for a big company. Know how to get customers.

There will never be a business that doesn’t need to get customers. That is where you really start thinking about this concept:  Where do I want to play the game?
And if I’m in any of the other categories of business, then I’m reliant upon the people who are getting customers and the raw material people digging stuff out of the ground.

When I’m in customer acquisition, I’m closest to the customer. That is where you have utter security. Because at the end of the day, that is who gives you a dollar. It’s the customer who gives the company a dollar that ends up being split up into the various different employees of the company.

I don’t want to do all of the other business categories. I choose to find a partner to manage all of these categories, so that I can just focus on this little part of acquiring customers.

Network marketing simple explanation

The Simplicity of What a Network Marketing Company Is All About

Here is the simplicity of what a network marketing company is all about: It is a partnership. Period.

That’s the first thing you have to look at. It really is. When you sign a partnership agreement, you’re choosing a company based on:

  • the products
  • the compensation that they offer
  • their policies
  • their procedures of doing business
  • the culture
  • the training
  • countries that they’ve opened or are opening
  • the life-cycle of the products
  • and the life-cycle of the company.

That’s what you’re choosing. And you need to evaluate all of those.

Most people that I’ve witnessed, when they join a network marketing company,  someone shares the business with them,  and then they look at the product and they say, “You know what? I think I could sell that.”

That’s the limited amount of evaluation that goes on. It was no different with me. That’s the way that I first came into the business.  I had no idea what the products were.

It just so happened that wanted to go to settlement on a house that I’d an offer on.  And I needed some extra money for the settlement. So when I answered the ad and looked at the business opportunity I just said, “Yeah, sure. Why not?” I just happened to get lucky!

The company provides raw materials, manufacturing, branding, warehousing, shipping returns, and countries to do business in. That’s their job. You choose the company.

Now what’s your part of the partnership? You acquire customers.

You own your customers, and that’s a big deal. When you look out there and you see affiliate marketing like Amazon sellers, real estate, or insurance sales , they don’t own the customer. They are acquiring a customer for somebody else. And of course, the advantage to a network marketing company is that you own the customers that you acquire.

The other part of your partnership with a network marketing company is to acquire reps, if available.

The direct sales industry is an old industry. It started back in 1897 or something like that. Network marketing is a type of direct sales industry in which you’re able to get your own reps and train them. Your reps then also get all of the things that the network marketing company provides. You are on the upside of what you and your team build.

Comparable businesses like real estate, mortgage brokers, insurance agents, affiliate marketers, and Amazon sellers –  they would be most comparable in terms of the daily activities.

And that’s it. That’s what a network marketing company is, in its simplicity.

How Do You Acquire Customers and Reps?

What is this business of acquiring? How does that happen? First of all, I’ll just tell you that a lot of people, when they first look at the idea of sales, feel some hesitation. I know what I had to go through; there was a lot of noise in my head.

Every time I asked a girl to dance and she said, “No,” that thought of being rejected went through my head. I wasn’t sure I wanted to get rejected if I went into sales.  There were times when I had been manipulated to buy something, and I didn’t want to be like that and manipulate other people. I had a lot of that in my head.

Are You a “Born Salesman?”

There’s a phrase out there that people say: “born salespeople,” or “born salesman,” or “born sales lady.” Let’s look at this logically. Pretend that you go to a maternity ward. Look at the babies behind that window and try to figure out which one of them is going to be the next great salesman. They’re all screaming. They don’t even know English yet.

How can a salesman be “born?” Sales skills are not something you’re born with. Sales is something that you learn.

When I was in the Navy, the last thing in the world I wanted to do was sales. There could have been a billion jobs that I’d have taken, but sales would not have been one of them. I would never have chosen that.
There just happened to be one moment in time when I wanted to earn money. I was looking for how I could earn the most money without having to go through the long route, which would have been maybe a bachelor’s degree, maybe a master’s degree, and then climbing the ladder, all of that. I wanted to do it a little bit quicker.

I remember listening to someone speaking,  who was making over $80,000 a month. He was a research chemist at NIH, and he was also in a network marketing company. As I listened to him I thought, “Wow, that’s amazing that he, with all of those credentials decides to come into network marketing.” And then I calculated in my head, what does $80,000 a month equal on an annual basis? A million bucks a year!

Why would I learn any more bombs? That’s what I was doing in the bomb squad at that time; I was diffusing bombs. We would get bombs and figure out how to diffuse them. So the thought that was running in my mind was, why would I be learning that, making a really low income when, if I could learn to do sales, I could get an income like that guy?

Here Is the Simple Sequence of How to Sell

Network marketing simple explanation
I’m a bomb squad guy. To me, everything in our world is a sequence: first you do this, and then you do this, and then you do this. You don’t ever switch sequence.

It’s the same with sales, and if you follow along with me, I’ll walk you through the sequence of steps to make a sale.

Anytime you’ve been a customer, something happened just before that. What happened before?

There was a presentation of some kind. You walk into the store, and you see the potato chips that you want to buy, then you buy them. Seeing that bag of chips is a presentation. If you go to a doctor’s office, the presentation was the doctor. If you go to an attorney’s office, the presentation was the attorney. If you went into The Gap, you walked into that store and you saw the jeans. In every case, there had to be some kind of presentation.

Half of the time that I’ve ever made a sale, I followed up with the person first. Those who see the presentation can become a customer immediately, and sometimes you need to follow up with them because they have questions; they need to talk to their spouse, or they’re not quite ready yet.

Never have I ever been a customer or had a customer that didn’t see a presentation first, before buying.

Just before the presentation, there was an appointment. It might’ve been quick. You might’ve just walked into The Gap or whatever. But in a doctor’s office, an attorney’s office, sometimes in restaurants, you have to set an appointment.

Before the appointment, there had to be a contact with something. It could have been with the presentation, the store, or a person.

Before the contact, a lead had to be generated.  Sometimes that’s a little bit difficult for somebody to understand, so I’ll explain that next. A lead is really simple when you look at it and think about it.

A store in a mall paid premium real estate price so they get walk-by traffic. It’s the same with a restaurant, most often. That’s how they generate leads. Everybody in every business is going to have to do this. They may not have to set an appointment.

Online, you click on an ad on Facebook and it takes you straight to the presentation. They put a follow-up series on where they’re re-targeting you as you go across the internet. That’s your follow-up.

Every business, every politician, every nonprofit, every school, every organization that wants to expand has to do this sequence. It is not an option. These are laws. It’s not an opinion. This is how any customer is acquired.

Never Force Someone to Buy

Now I’m going to tell you about how I feel about manipulation of a person who doesn’t want to buy.  I’m never going to try to force someone to buy a product I offer.. That is what Tim never does. Never. Because that’s the icky feeling that you’re going to assume is when you push too hard.

I’ll give you an example from a very unlikely situation. I had this vision, this dream of the perfect girl. It started in the first grade. That’s where I got this idea, and I just knew she existed, but somehow I kept messing it up.

I would choose the wrong girl, or I was wrong for her. One time I really fell for a girl, and then she broke up with me and it tore me up. I was in the Navy at the time, and all my buddies said, “You need to get a life. Come on, come out with us,” and I said, “No, no, no.” It really bummed me out.

I remember at one point I didn’t even know if I could try. I’d failed so many times, and I thought, “I don’t even want to look at that, and I don’t want to do that.” But I also thought I had to look at something different because I didn’t want to keep creating that same situation.

Then I had this epiphany: I knew what color hair she would have, I knew what color eyes she would have, I knew what color fingernail polish she would wear. I knew everything about this dream. But I didn’t ever put on the list that she would want me as much as I wanted her.

That’s what was missing. That has to be at the top of the list. You don’t commit until you know that. That’s the way that I build.

This is my wife.

I met her when a friend brought her over to my house for a business thing. To make a long story very short, I contacted her again and I asked her to go out to dinner. I was the presentation, and she was the presentation. I followed up, I contacted her again. I set an appointment for a movie and dinner. It went well. I followed up again, and I just kept going back and forth for three years until I absolutely knew that she wanted it as much as I did.

How I Keep It Professional

There’s one very unprofessional thing that I see in the network marketing space, and that is that there are some network marketers who don’t have that same epiphany that I had – that the customer has to want the product as much as I do before they will buy it.

If I generate a lead and the person doesn’t answer my call, it’s done. If you’re going to lose, lose fast. It’s over.

I’m good with that because I don’t want to create additional failures. If I set an appointment and the person doesn’t show up for the presentation, that’s awesome. I now know where they stand. That lead gets moved over into a column over here called “not interested,” just like that.

If they see the presentation and they say they’ll think about it, I follow up. If they see the presentation and they say, “No, thank you,” then I don’t follow up.

If the presentation is a video and they don’t even respond back, I’m going to follow up just in case they didn’t watch it. I don’t worry if I communicate with them and they don’t reply. Maybe they’re on vacation or they are tied up at work or with a family situation, so I’ll continue to follow up.

But after seven times, I don’t anymore, and the person moves over into the “not interested” category. That’s the big thing that allows me to be very professional because my job is not to convince every lead. My job is to move that lead to contact, that contact to appointment, that appointment to presentation, or that contact to “not interested.”

I just move leads across the pipeline in a very professional way. I’m looking for the person who wants it as much as I do, because if I sponsor somebody who doesn’t want it, then I’m going to have to tug and drag them. I don’t want that kind of business partner.

That’s what I’m looking for: a business partner.

I’m going to explain this pipeline to them when we do the presentation. I’m going to say, “Network marketing is where you acquire customers.” I’m not going to tell them, “It’s not sales.” There’s no business in the world that doesn’t require sales, unless you want to be an assistant or a secretary, or you want to build something. But in the sales division, this is what we do: the pipeline.

Quantity Matters

You have to generate a quantity of leads to move across the pipeline. Quantity matters most. Quality will increase your conversions between each step of the pipeline. It’s the quality that increases conversion, but you cannot get quality at it unless you do a high enough quantity. That’s really the secret.

There are no born salespeople. Don’t believe that. You’re looking instead for somebody who is going to want it as much as you, and you’re only looking for that.

Benefits of Network Marketing

The 13 Top Benefits of Network Marketing (by Tim Sales)

#1 – Income Can Be Exponential and Residual

This is a factor that I’ve never seen in any other business. What do I mean by that?

Residual income would be, for example, when you subscribed to an internet service, they get a residual income because you’re paying for that service every single month.

Exponential has to do with the compounding effect of something. It is not purely multiplication. It compounds over time. Let me give you an example.  Exponential means that your internet service would get other internet services for them, or your phone would get other phone services. But phones don’t get phones, and real estate rental properties don’t get more real estate rental properties.

Those businesses give you residual income (the phone company collects a payment from you every month for the phone use, or the landlord gets paid every month for the rental property), but those types of businesses cannot create the exponential income you can get from network marketing.

When you combine those two together, this is what you get: I acquired 40 customers and I now I have 36,953 customers. That’s a 92,000% increase from my effort, when united with a team. I recruited 129 new representatives, and that number turned into 41,000 representatives. That is a 32,000 exponential factor. That is a really, really big deal.

Benefits of Network Marketing
Why Network Marketing? The fact that you can earn both residual income AND exponential income is my number one reason why I have a network marketing business.

#2 – Team Effort

Because I acquired 40 customers, I now know how to get customers, so I become valuable to the person that I bring into the business. That’s how my 40 customers turned into 36,000 customers. That is the team effort.

I make myself unimportant to the generation of my income. That is one of the biggest points of how to create wealth.

Here’s an example: In real estate, let’s say that you sell a $225,000 house, and you make a $5,000 commission. You’d have to sell ten of them to make $50,000. In the next year, you have to do it again if you want to make $50,000. If you want to make $100,000, you will have to sell 20 of them. It’s all you.

I’m not cutting real estate down in any way. I will never cut down any industry. It is just from my vantage point, after being in a lot of different businesses, that network marketing has the most opportunities for building wealth. I talk about this in another video, Side Hustles That Made Me a Millionaire.  I think team effort is a big part of that.

#3 – Reps, Not Employees

I prefer that the people I work with are not employees. I’ll just leave it at that, because with employees, I have to pay them for whatever they do during working hours, whether they produce anything or not.

#4 – Build from Anywhere

I can build my network marketing business from anywhere in the world. That is really important to me, especially right now in 2020, when it seems like America’s sliding off into the ocean. I like to be able to live where I live. I live up in the mountains, on a farm with a river. I like doing it where I want to.

how to use Benefits of Network Marketing
Working with my beautiful wife, Laura.
We love having the freedom to work anywhere in the world.

#5 – Low Financial Entry and Risk

Low financial entry into it is important to me. I can’t believe that at this point in time, I spent $1,500 to start my business, and now I have a $300 million business under me. That is incredible.

#6 – Own Customers

I own my own customers. When you compare network marketing to other businesses, what you’ll find is that in the other businesses you don’t own the customer. If you’re, for example, an Amazon seller, you don’t own the customer. That means that you acquire them for somebody else. Your acquisition of customers takes the most amount of effort – the most amount of money that is ever spent is to acquire a customer. You’re acquiring customers for another business and you don’t get that upside potential of owning that customer.

Benefits of Network Marketing

#7 – 1099 Income

In a W2 (salary) income, somewhere around 30-40% of your income is taken out before you ever see it coming, because it’s taken right out of your check. The advantage with network marketing is that we have 1099 income. If I want to run ads for my business, the IRS allows me to take that deduction for the money I spent to advertise my business. In a way, it doesn’t cost me anything, because I get it back.

#8 – Geographic Diversification

As a real estate agent, I would have to be in a certain location, and be limited to this location. I like the ability I get in network marketing to make money out of Italy even though I don’t know the Italian language. I like being able to make money out of China and not know any Chinese whatsoever.

#9 – Work With People You Want

what are the main Benefits of Network Marketing
With my friend and business partner, Stephane Page. I like being able to
choose the people that I want to work with.

Working with people that I want was an important one for me when I first started. I remember there were people in the military who were jerks. I don’t know any other word to describe them. I didn’t like to work with them, but if they were also wherever my duty station was, I HAD to work with that person for two years.

I like to choose the people that I want to hang with.

#10 – Money and Time Freedom

Because I’ve been making a six to seven figure income for 31 years, this one is lower on the scale for me. I’ve been able to create wealth, and so have had money and time freedom for years. You can place whatever value you like on this one.

#11 – Easier Transition (Part-Time)

This was a big one for me when I started out. I didn’t know I would be transitioning into a full time effort.  I thought I was just getting money so that I could close on a house. When I first started, I had no idea that it was going to route me into creating wealth.

#12 – Marketing Is Dynamic

This one takes a little bit of an explanation. How do we do network marketing? Some people try to brand us by how we do it.

When I first came into network marketing, somebody said, “Is this one of those things where I have to go door to door?” I said, “No, I’ve never knocked on anybody’s door.” He was trying to put it into that category. Someone else asked, “Is this something where I have to spam my friends?” I said, “No, what are you talking about?”

It doesn’t matter how you want to build, you can build. If I bring somebody into the business and that person owns a postcard business, how am I going to recommend that they generate leads? Postcards. If a doctor comes into the business, how am I going to tell him to build his business? He can send a postcard or an email to his patients and have them come into the office.

It’s dynamic and it’s constantly shifting. I had a lady who specialized in doing expos. Guess how I told her to generate leads? Go to expos. You can never say how we do it because we are always changing and adapting to any opportunity, technology or  situation. When the coronavirus hit, we shifted to Zoom, just like that. How can we do big events? Let’s put them on the internet, do them on Zoom. It’s that aspect of network marketing that I love.

#13 – Availability of Training

application of Benefits of Network Marketing
Hands-on training: putting his feet to the fire.
There’s nothing like training with someone until they CAN do it.

This was number one for me when I first started, but not now, because I don’t need to be trained a whole lot anymore. I had to learn when I first came back into the industry, because back when I started, the fax machine was the blazing speed that we operated with.

But today, it’s the internet. I had to learn social media. I had to learn ads, display ads, Facebook ads and YouTube marketing. The concepts were the same, but they were just placed in different places.

You just don’t get that availability of training everywhere. In real estate, I think you do, because you do have to have a broker sponsor you in order to be accepted and hang your certificate up on their wall. I think there is guidance from that sponsor, but I don’t know how much marketing training there is.

And I want to emphasize: I’m not putting it down or doubting it. I’m just saying that I don’t know how much there is.

I do know that based upon my situation in network marketing, training is getting in there elbow to elbow.

I really want this person to succeed. It helps me. Why wouldn’t I?

Get online business started

Why many people can’t get their online business started?

Getting the first online business to get started is always the hardest.

Someone once described starting a business as boiling water.

Water will not boil until it reaches its boiling point. So is starting an online business.

Only when you work on it up to the ‘boiling point’ then magic will happen.

Unfortunately the ‘boiling point’ of a business is not as clear-cut as that of water, so many people give up before the boiling point is reached.

Get online business started

Get online business started

When I was preparing for my first online business, my wife happened to be in the US for an 8-month secondment.

I had no kid at that time.

That left me as a lonely man in the house.

That was an important factor why I could focus and start my first online business.

Everyday after work, I would bury myself in the computer, learning about HTML and customizing the website for my first online business.

I usually worked until 2am, sleeping only 4-5 hours before going to work the next day. This went on for about 5 months.

There were times when I wanted to give up.

But whenever I asked myself, “What other alternatives do I have?”, the answer was “None”.

That had pushed me to continue working.

Don’t get me wrong. I had a good Masters Degree, so I potentially had lots of career choices. My answer was ‘None’ because I wanted a career that can eventually lead me to time and financial freedom, and I reckoned that running an online business was the only answer.

If you are starting out and thinking of giving up, telling yourself to ‘Not Give Up’ is easier said than done.

If your goal is to achieve time and financial freedom, perhaps you can ask yourself the same question that I asked myself,

“What other alternatives do you have that can lead you to time and financial freedom?”

If the answer is none, then forget about giving up and keep working.

To your success,

10 Reasons Why Your New Online Business Will Fail
and How to Avoid Having These Things Happen

I read a statistic recently that said 90 percent of new online businesses fail in the first four months. Four months! The reasons for this? There are many. Having been through the journey myself recently here are the 10 main reasons I’ve seen people fail at starting their own online business.

10 Lack of commitment. You talk about how much you want to start your own business with your family or friends, but you never really commit to getting started. You keep waiting for the ‘right time’ or continue to ‘think about it’ without ever getting started.

9 Poor planning. You finally get started but you didn’t plan well enough for the financial, emotional, mental and physical implications. You didn’t save enough money, you didn’t do enough research. As a result, you run out of money and ideas very quickly with no plan of how to get yourself back on track.

8 Lack of action. You simply don’t take enough (or any) action. Or if you do, because you’re new at business your actions aren’t properly aligned to your business so you waste a lot of time.

7 You attempt to grow your following on Facebook and Instagram but instead of being tactful and succinct you spend entire days on there browsing aimlessly.

6 You don’t know who your target clients are, or where to find them. So when you do get yourself all set up with your new website, Facebook page and business cards you’ll be completely baffled as to why new customers aren’t queueing up out the door.

5 You have no idea about copy, SEO or sales, so as much as you are fantastic at what you do, you can’t sell yourself, so you get very little business.

4 Business plan; you don’t have one. Or if you do, you’ve just made it up with no real idea about how to generate the numbers or how to hit any of your targets.

3 Visibility. You keep yourself hidden behind the curtains (i.e. your laptop) as opposed to being as visible as possible.

2 You try to do it all on your own, without the support of others. You decide not to enlist the help of professionals and instead try to figure out everything on your own. You spend hours each week on non-money making tasks, such as fixing annoying tech issues with your website or mailing list. You end up scared, overwhelmed and lost, and frustrated at your lack of results. You realise there is a long road ahead that you aren’t prepared for.

The number 1 reason I see people fail at their new online business:

1 Comparison.

Social media can be dangerous for motivation, especially if it makes you feel negative about your own situation. Looking at what everyone else is doing and getting overwhelmed by their results can spell new online business disaster. Comparison crushes your creativity and feeds self-doubt, worry and concern. Concern that you’re not good enough, smart enough, young enough, old enough, not ‘liked’ enough, not earning enough or that there’s something wrong with you in general can really knock your confidence.  Read more..

You can build on yesterday’s success or

Improve the quality of your life by not taking things personally.

The other day I was in a building running an errand. As I walked through the lobby toward the exit, a woman I didn’t know walked past me. As she did she said, “Buenas”–which is a standard greeting–, and I answered, “Buenas”, and kept going. Then I heard the woman say:

“You’re so rude. Learn some manners. When someone greets you, you should greet them back.”

I stopped and turned around, and I saw that the woman was talking to me. Obviously, she didn’t hear me when I answered her greeting. In addition, it was evident that she had concluded that I simply chose to ignore her, and she took it personally. Given her state of agitation, it was clear to me that she felt slighted. I told the woman that I had responded to her greeting, and it wasn’t my fault that she didn’t hear me. Then I left. What I really wanted to tell her was that she needed to learn how to stop taking things personally.

Whenever I walk into an elevator and there’s already someone in there, I say “Buenas”, because that’s a cultural practice in Latin America. Most of the time people answer my greeting. But sometimes they don’t. And when they don’t, I don’t take it personally.

I used to take things personally all the time, but now, for the most part, I don’t. How did I stop takings things personally (or at least get much better at it)? I learned certain strategies, which I’m going to share with you. Below you’ll find eight ways to stop taking things personally.

Consistency

Mind Trick to Accomplish Your Goals.

I am going to show you how to eliminate the biggest killer of success
in absolutely everything in life.

That problem is CONSISTENCY.

We all know that we should eat well and exercise.
Maybe we even do it … once in a while.
If you want to see the real benefit though, you have to do it consistently.
Lack of Consistency is the biggest “wrecker of dreams” that humans could ever imagine.

How important is consistency

It is silent and insidious and hiding right there in our daily routine.

Luckily, you can help to overcome it by using a common trick
to convince people to buy which I gleaned from watching late night infomercials.

The same trick they use to get people to buy, you can use to get your mind
focused on the success you deserve.
This will help you determine how to set goals and create an action plan.

Consistency

Trust me. You already have too many Ginsu knives. You don’t need another knife in the kitchen. Same goes for your vacuum cleaner.

However, those late night infomercials are enticing. They make you want to buy another knife AND a new vacuum.

There is a persuasion mind trick that they use to convince you to buy their product. Marketers use it all the time.

Last night, I posted a new video that shows you how to use the same infomercial mind trick to help you accomplish your goals. If you are struggling to make progress, then this video is for you!

It is time that we used these kind of persuasion tactics to help us, rather than just make us buy more things we don’t need.
